“Mean” Gene Okerlund Passes Away at 76
Well, 2019 is off to a terrible start.
WWE Hall of Famer, and person who is always being told something, “Mean” Gene Okerlund passed away today, January 2nd, at the age of 76. He was the most iconic interviewer in professional wrestling, working in AWA, WWE and WCW. He also hosted many shows during his career, including Tuesday Night Titans and Prime Time Wrestling. His most recent appearances in television were hosting interview segment during “retro” themed episodes of Monday Night Raw.
We send our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Mean Gene. There will never be another like him.
