New Japan’s 2019/20 Schedule is Out, and It’s Wild

This morning during the pre-show for Wrestle Kingdom 13, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the full line-up of major events they’re holding up through Wrestle Kingdom 14. While a portion of it seems to be the usual dates and locations, there are quite a few that a unexpected and excited.

Outside of the already announced G1 SuperCard at Madison Square Garden during WrestleMania weekend, New Japan coming the United States quite a bit. They’ve added a February 2nd show to their New Beginning tour in Nashville, and the first night of the G1 Climax will be at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on July 6th. They’re also going to London’s Copper Box Arena on August 31st.

But while those shows are really exciting, the wildest announcement is that Wrestle Kingdom 14 will be on January 4th AND 5th, 2020. That’s right, it’s going to be two consecutive nights in the Tokyo Dome. Even WrestleMania hasn’t attempted something like this, so it’s going to be really interesting to see how stacked the card will be to last more than one night.

  • February 2 & 3 – The New Beginning in Sapporo – Hokkaido
  • February 11 – The New Beginning in Osaka – Osaka
  • March 23 & 24 – New Japan Cup 2019 – Niigata
  • April 6 – G1 SuperCard – New York, NY (Madison Square Garden)
  • April 20 – Aichi
  • May 3 & 4 – Fukuoka
  • June 9 – Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-Jo Hall – Osaka
  • July 6 – G1 Climax 29 – Dallas, TX (American Airlines Center)
  • July 13 & 14 – G1 Climax 29 – Otaku
  • July 15 – G1 Climax 29 – Hokkaido
  • August 10-12 – G1 Climax 29 Finals – Nippon Budokan
  • August 31 – London, England (The Copper Box Arena)
  • January 4-5, 2020 – Wrestle Kingdom 14 – Tokyo Dome
