SmackDown Beat Raw in the TV Ratings This Week
It’s a weird week for WWE viewership since Christmas fell on a Tuesday this year, messing things up for both Raw and SmackDown. But one very interesting thing did occur – SmackDown actually beat Raw for once!
The Christmas Eve edition of Raw had 1,775,000 viewers, which is unsurprisingly down big time from last week with Vince McMahon’s return. The Christmas Day edition of SmackDown had 1,904,000 viewers and while it was enough to beat Raw, it’s still the lowest number the show has seen since the move to Tuesday nights. But still, it’s a small victory on a holiday week.
Things shouldn’t be getting much better for either show next week as New Year’s Eve and Day also fall on Monday and Tuesday. But with John Cena making his WWE return on SmackDown, there’s a good chance they could come out on top for the second week in a row.
