John Cena Returns to WWE Television Next Week on SmackDown
After initially stating that his upcoming return tour to the WWE would be untelevised, it appears that John Cena’s plans have changed.
On the Christmas Eve episode of Raw, Vince McMahon (dressed as Santa Claus) announced that Cena would be returning to Raw and SmackDown in 2019 but gave little details beyond that. We now have learned that his first appearance will be on SmackDown next week from Pittsburgh. With the episode airing on New Year’s Day, it is being taped this Saturday so people will actually attend. Additionally, the Cena tour has two more stops which will be the January 7th and 14th episodes of Raw, taking place in Orlando and Memphis respectively.
John Cena’s WWE plans beyond that are unknown, but if I had to guess they’re going to try to make a push to have him included in the Royal Rumble. Either way, he’s currently starring in Bumblebee and his performance in that is worth checking out.
